This drawing features Edinburgh's old town sitting beneath the towering castle in the centre of the city. I work from sketches that I have made, refining them by focussing on patterns in the cityscape such as rows of chimney pots, turrets and windows. I use a fine line pen to finish my drawings. My sketches often explore the unique architecture and landscape of the city of Edinburgh.
