🎨 How I Made It: The design for this linocut print centred around three waterlily flowers, each at a different stage in their process of unfurling. I carved the detailed petals before printing them with a dusky pink ink, before printing the watery green background followed by their shiny green stylised leaves. My greetings cards are based on a digital scan of the final print, which a UK-based printing company then produce for me in small batches on FSC-certified recycled card stock, each of which I then fold by hand at home. I thought that both the full landscape print, and the more focused portrait section of the print worked well as card designs, so am delighted to be able to offer you a choice (or of course, you can pick to enjoy both orientations!)
