🎨 How I Made It: This print takes inspiration from the winter and spring flowers in our local area. It was also the first piece I produced using my new A3-sized printing press. Having sketched out the designs and traced it onto a piece of lino, I then carved three layers into the lino, applying different colours to the paper at each turn (once you've carved a layer, there's no turning back), before adding finishing touches by hand. My greetings cards are based on a digital scan of the final print, which a UK-based printing company then produce for me in small batches on FSC-certified recycled card stock, each of which I then fold by hand at home. I thought that both the full landscape print, and the more focused portrait section of the print worked well as card designs, so am delighted to be able to offer you a choice (or of course, you can pick to enjoy both orientations!)
